So I have been a little lax in my posting and one of these is horribly overdue, but I have some exciting news. I've written two more short stories that have been published in different universes.

The first is for the book Crucible, another collection of stories set in Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar universe. All new tales set in her world. My story deals with a young bard who has had some personal tragedy in his life and is looking for a way to get through his pain, which comes from a very unexpected source. You can find this through the usual suspects, like Amazon.

The second short story was published today and is set in the Exalted gaming universe. You can find this on DriveThruFiction. My story in here deals with a Solar who is trying to leave her past behind her, but it has a habit of following her.

That's two more short stories published, one of which is in a bran new universe for me! My repertoire keeps growing. One story at a time!

At long last, the paperback version of The Sheynan Trilogy is now available. This is a nice milestone to hit and I'm glad to have it publicly available. Now anyone who wants to get a physical copy who wasn't part of the Kickstarter can order one. You can get it from Amazon. Of course, if you wanted a copy of the limited edition hardback, a few of those are still available from Apocalypse Ink Productions. Now it is on to the next project!

World of Shadows anthology published!

7/26/2015

I just found out that the World of Shadows anthology for Shadowrun just published and will be available at GenCon! This is very exciting for me. I have been a fan of Shadowrun since I first got into gaming. I think it was the second system that I ever learned, and it was so different from Dungeons and Dragons. I instantly fell in love with the cyberpunk universe. It is one of the universes that is near and dear to my heart.

So to be writing for it and having stories published is definitely a bit of a dream come true. It will be at the Catalyst booth at GenCon, and hopefully available for ordering online soon thereafter. I can't wait to get my hands on a copy. Check out the amazing cover!

Gen Con schedule

7/15/2015

So with only a couple of weeks until Gen Con, I thought it was about time to post my schedule. I have a table in Author's Avenue, so I will be there any time that the dealer's room is open and I am not scheduled on a panel. Speaking of panels, here is my schedule.

  • Thursday, 2 pm: Writer's Craft: When to Show, When to Tell
  • Thursday, 7 pm: Read & Critique
  • Friday. 9 am: Business of Writing 101
  • Friday, 6 pm: Writer's Craft: Epiphanies and Defining Moments
  • Saturday, 9 am:  Worldbuilding 101
  • Saturday, 11 am: Signing in the Exhibit Hall
  • Saturday, 12 pm: Worldbuilding: Writing a World's History

The most exciting part of this convention is that my Sheynan Trilogy will be available in hard copy format. It is the first time in a few years that I will have a book at my convention table with my name on the cover! Very exciting and I can hardly wait.

I hope to see some of you there!

Origins Game Fair schedule

5/30/2015

Hello readers,

So I will be going to Origins Game Fair next week, and will of course be working a table in the library. If you are going to the convention, please stop by and say hi! It is always nice to chat with people. Otherwise, I will be standing behind my table and swaying from side to side with nothing to do (or more aptly standing on a chair and doing something foolish and liable to get myself hurt - you cannot deny who you are). I will also be serving on panels. Here is my schedule if you would like to hear me talk about something that I claim to know a little bit about.

  • Thursday, 1 pm: More than Black Hats, Creating a Villain
  • Friday, 4 pm: Medieval Combat (apparently this is a solo panel because I won't stop talking about it)
  • Saturday, 1 pm: Magic and Technology
  • Sunday, 10 am: Researching Your Story
  • Sunday, 11 am: Fan Fiction: Friend or Foe

Pretty much any time that the dealers' room is open and I am not at a panel, I will be at my table. I hope to see some of you there!

    Who am I?

I'm a fiction writer, a game designer, a computer programmer, a hardcore gamer, and a professional sword swinger. I have a thirst for adventure and am a bit of an adrenaline junkie. I try to put a bit of that into all of my stories, and I do love telling stories!
